Terms of Service
Effective October 12, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully. They include a waiver of certain Louisiana warranties (Section 10), a limitation of our liability (Section 12), and an arbitration and class-action waiver with an opt-out (Section 18). Nothing on this page is legal advice.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Nashville Avenue Studios LLC, doing business as LouisianaBarTutor.ai (“Louisiana Bar Tutor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your use of the Louisiana Bar Tutor website, platform, and materials (together, the “Service” and the “Materials”). By creating an account, joining our waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Your Account
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Your account is personal to you: it is for a single individual, and you may not share your login credentials or let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. We may limit the Service to one active session at a time and may take action if we detect account sharing or other misuse. Notify us promptly at hello@louisianabartutor.ai if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service and Materials for your own bar exam preparation. You may not:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, resell, sublicense, or publicly display the Materials, except as expressly allowed in the Service;
- share, post, or provide the Materials or your account access to any other person;
- scrape, data-mine, or use automated means to extract the Materials, or use the Service or Materials to train or build a competing product or model;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law; or
- remove or alter any proprietary notices.
Downloadable files are provided for your personal study only and are subject to the same restrictions and to the download agreement you accept in the Service.
4. Educational Purpose; Not Legal Advice
Louisiana Bar Tutor provides legal education and bar-exam preparation materials for your personal study. The Materials are not legal advice, are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney, and are not intended to be relied upon for any actual legal matter, case, transaction, or decision. Using the Materials does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Louisiana Bar Tutor or its creators. You are responsible for independently verifying any rule, citation, or statement against primary legal sources and for exercising your own professional judgment.
5. Accuracy; Currency of the Law
The law changes. The Materials reflect our understanding of the law as of the “law as of” date shown, are produced through a good-faith verification process, and may nonetheless contain errors, omissions, or outdated content. We make no representation or warranty that the Materials are accurate, complete, current, or error-free. If you believe you have found an error, please tell us so we can review it.
6. Payments, Access, and Refunds
Price. Access to the full platform is a one-time charge, not a recurring subscription. The current price is shown on our website and may change from time to time; the price in effect at the time you purchase is the price that applies to your purchase. Applicable taxes may be added. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details. During any free early-access period we offer before paid access launches, no payment is required, and the payment terms in this Section apply once paid access begins.
7-Day Money-Back Guarantee (not a free trial). When you purchase, you receive immediate access to the entire platform, except that the ability to download Materials is disabled during the first seven (7) days (168 hours) after your purchase. This is a money-back guarantee, not a free trial. If, within that 168-hour window, you decide the platform is not for you, you may request a full refund by emailing us at hello@louisianabartutor.ai within the window. We will refund the full purchase price to your original payment method. After the 168-hour window closes, your purchase is final and non-refundable, whether or not you pass the bar exam, and the download feature becomes available to you.
Access period and bar results. Your access is tied to your bar exam sitting. Because official bar results are released roughly two to three months after the exam, your access continues through that period. After the results for your sitting are published, we may confirm your outcome as described in our Privacy Policy. If you passed, your access ends approximately fourteen (14) days after the date the official results for your sitting are published. If you did not pass, or if we are unable to confirm that you passed, your access and all of your saved data continue at no additional charge until you pass. In other words, you keep access until you pass.
Your data. We do not delete your study data when your access ends. If you later return or purchase access for a future sitting, your work is still there.
7. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of the content you create on the platform, such as your written answers, notes, and annotations. You grant us a license to host, store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you, including sending written answers to our AI provider to generate feedback (see Privacy Policy). If you send us suggestions, error reports, or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it to improve the Service without obligation to you.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to: access or use it other than as permitted by these Terms; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data; upload malicious code; or use the Service to infringe anyone’s rights. We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts, for any violation.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and the Materials, including all text, questions, model answers, explanations, visuals, and software, are owned by Nashville Avenue Studios LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. “Louisiana Bar Tutor” and LouisianaBarTutor.ai, and our logos, are our marks. Except for the limited license in Section 3, we reserve all rights.
10. “As Is”; Disclaimer of Warranties; Waiver of Redhibition
The Service and Materials are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” with all faults. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
WAIVER OF THE WARRANTY AGAINST REDHIBITORY DEFECTS AND OF THE WARRANTY OF FITNESS. PLEASE READ THIS PARAGRAPH. IT IS BEING BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION. To the fullest extent permitted by Louisiana law, you expressly waive and renounce the warranty against redhibitory defects and the warranty of fitness for ordinary or particular use provided by Louisiana Civil Code articles 2520 through 2548, and you accept the Service and Materials AS IS, with all defects, whether apparent or latent. You acknowledge that this waiver has been clearly and unambiguously brought to your attention, that you have read and understood it, and that you knowingly agree to it. This waiver does not extend to any defect actually known to us and not disclosed to you, consistent with Louisiana law.
11. No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee that you will pass the bar exam or achieve any particular score or outcome. Bar results depend on many factors outside our control, including your own preparation and performance.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nashville Avenue Studios LLC and its members, officers, and creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or any bar-exam outcome or decision made in reliance on the Service or Materials, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or Materials will not exceed the amount you paid us for access during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nashville Avenue Studios LLC and its members, officers, and creators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service or Materials, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
14. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Clerk, Stripe, Anthropic, Resend, Cloudflare, and Neon. Your use of features powered by those providers may also be subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their acts or omissions.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including the licenses you grant us, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and the dispute terms, will survive. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as expressly provided in Section 6.
16. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Service, and we may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the updated version. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
18. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver
Informal resolution first. If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at hello@louisianabartutor.ai first so we can try to resolve it. Most concerns can be resolved this way. You agree to give us at least thirty (30) days to resolve a dispute informally before starting a formal proceeding.
Binding arbitration. Except as provided below, any dispute that is not resolved informally will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, seated in Louisiana, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
Class action waiver. You and we agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. You may opt out of this arbitration and class-waiver section by emailing hello@louisianabartutor.ai within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms, stating that you opt out.
19. General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may provide notices to you by email or by posting in the Service.
